What People Say

About Ganja Yoga

As a novice to yoga, I

was intrigued by the

idea of ganja yoga. Aside from

that lovely benefit of this

practice, Tamara is the star. Her attitude and careful instruction not only accommodate the lesser experienced, but all levels of

practice with her comfortable, natural style. After nearly two years of practicing with Tamara,

she has made me a devotee.

About Hatha Yoga

Tamara's relaxed teaching

style is compassionately

attentive to our individual needs

by incorporating gentle work-

arounds and props for pain and

mobility issues. As an older adult,

who wears glasses; I especially

enjoy her soothing eye workouts. I am

always thankful for our time together

because I leave completely

relaxed and rejuvenated when

each session is over.

My Story

I believe freedom exists once dreams are allowed and acknowledged.

When we delve into the mind, we find our purpose.

We can hold space for our dreams to marinate in our thoughts.

With time, some dreams become the best of ideas and these ideas grow into our truest-to-self intentions.

With space to grow, our intentions manifest with organic grace.

I call this journey dreamcubation and it can be integrated by anyone.

It was only four years ago I spoke my truest-to-self intention to sell my business and find my deeper, most

true-to-myself purpose for this life. I was a badass boss bitch, running a highly successful company in Waikiki, while planning to open Hawai'i's first all sour beer brewery. At the time, it felt like freedom. I had the condo with the views, the car, the motorcycle and as much vacation time as I gave myself.

Then everything changed.

My partner's mother was diagnosed with cancer and the prognosis was gnarly, at best. Decades of a sedentary lifestyle, unhealthy eating habits and poor stress management caught up to her at the age of only 56. A story all too common, these days.

After receiving this news, life became a tornado of sorts with an onslaught of emotional highs and lows. In a matter of only five months, my partner proposed, I planned and hosted a surprise pop-up wedding for us, and then we lost her...twenty days after our wedding. A beautiful, sweet soul gone too soon ~ fuck cancer.

Witnessing the rapidity with which cancer acts, I was inspired to go vegan and cut all animal products from my diet. I also re-kindled my yoga practice and my partner found yoga too. Yoga supported me so I could support him through one of the hardest times of his life. During this tragic, exciting, sorrowful and joyful time, it truly was the worst of times and the best of times.

But I found my practice and through yoga, began the journey toward my highest self.

And just as a train switches tracks, I knew that I must, too.

My intention to sell my business came to fruition shortly after I invested in my 300 hour yoga teacher training. The condo with the view soon became a memory in the rearview, as my partner and I packed and prepped for our move from O'ahu to Hawai'i island. Together, we shifted our life as brewers to a life of builders, and set out to build our own home on the "land of life-giving water." After four and a half years of building together, what was once a dream is now our reality.

I'm here to remind you your past doesn't have to define you, you are worthy of exactly what you are calling in. Say it with me now...

I am worthy.

I am worthy.

I am worthy.

Mahalo nui loa (thank you very much) for reading, I'll see you on the mat!
